need help on 3rd light

need help on 3rd light
i find that one of the wire has a little strip. how do i fix this so i dont have to replace the whole light? do i cut the part thats messed up n tape the new ends together?

cut out the part that's stripped and solder a new piece of wire in....or you can just get some wire connectors and connect a new piece of wire
