I just raced my friends Civic hatch tonight and got RAPED!!! I am wondering what I can get that will make me able to beat him big time within my budget of around $1,000.00. Here is what I have:

1996 Integra LS (AUTO) don't suggest tranny swtich cuz I don't want to.
DC 4-2-1 header
Thermal exhaust
STR cam gears (dyno tuned)
STR fuel rail
Comptech intake/ice box
APEXi S-AFC (dyno tuned)

He has this:
1993 Civic hatch w/ 1998 Civic Si engine (MANUAL)
JDM 4-1 header
APEXi ehaust
AEM CAI
(The car is gutted with no AC, power windows or door locks)
Any suggestions on what I can buy within my budget to beat him would be real helpful. Thanks.

for a grand the only thing you can get to give you close to enough power to beat him would be a good nitrous setup.

 

for $1000 = 1) change tranny to manual (i know you said you don't want to, but why? new tranny installed shouldn't cost you anymore than $500 tops & will allow you do lots more mods)

2) ZEX kit ( 50 shot) = $1000 average
3) save up more $$ = turbo / supercharge

yea either NAWZ or get some crower cams like the 403s or 404s with their valvetrain package. should be around 1k
