need alignment? toe?. help
1 month ago, hit a polehole or something on my LEFT front wheel. Checked the tired and wheel the next day and no problem but my steering wheel steers to the LEFT a little if i let go. I thought I needed an alignment but didn't have time yet. Until this morning when I was cleaning my tires, I noticed that INNER side of my LEFT front wheel is missing alot of rubber and I could see the thread and some metal mesh. No problem with the RIGHT wheel. Therefore..I took my car to the alignment place and got a new tire. then before they begin to do the alignment DIDN'T even look yet, they were saying things like I need a camber kit. bent? or I have TOE problem?. I only have 1.25" drop all around, I really don't think I need a camber kit. could the impact have cause a bent? or toe problem? I have an appointment with ACURA for alignment next week, Should I tell to check the toe or somethng? What is the problem?

You will need to get an alignment done to see if anything is bent. With that slight drop, you will have a little negative camber, but nothing to worry about if the toe is set correctly, certainly nothing to warrant a camber kit. However, if the left side's reading is excessively different than the right side (camber) then suspect something to be bent. Find out the problem and replace the parts, don't just run out and slap on a camber kit to try and band-aid-fix the problem.
If they can't set the toe to spec, you can bet that the tie rod or something else is bent.
Same with the caster, if that reading is out of spec then something is DEFINTELY bent, because that reading should never change.
