like any car, inquire about the maintenance that was performed, and if its a car that is around 90k or above, then make sure that the major maintenance has been doen like the timing belt, water pump, etc. otherwise.. that will werk to your advantage in negotiating the price to a lower amt. Inquire about any collisions that may have occured and examine the car thoroughly. Have a compression test done on the motor.

, or if you don't know what you're looking for take it to a mechanic and have it checked out. Otherwise they're great cars
keep reading post on Honda-Tech while you are trying to sell your Del sol. THere is alot of good information about "whatever you can think of about honda & acuras" out there. Be careful when buying a GSR. I remember looking at this dudes car in southern CA and from the description, "He posted 94 GSR with integra Type R front end conversion with 17" Racing Harts C2, salvage title. Primered and ready for paintjob. Asking $5,000 obo." Doesn't that sound sweet aside from the title info?
5 hours and 300 miles later, I find out this dude has a B16 block and head in the engine bay instead of the B18C1. And there was no ABS break system. Why would anyone take out the ABS? After looking I got suspicious about whether is really was a GSR or some LS made to look like a GSR. The seats were cloth but had leather head post. I mean these things aren't too bad but the point is..you just got to watch out for things like that.
Peace

Well if you jus check the vin plates on the dash n other parts of the car, you can tell what it originaly was. dc2(gsr or type r) or dc4(ls/rs/gs/se)
here are the rules for me.
1. find the car you like. simple eh?
2. drive the car.
3. look for things and ask questions. when I mean things. I mean like, if they changed the intake filter, or repainted the car, etc. you can ususally tell if they repainted it, if you look under the hood, because they seldomly paint the area.
don't buy cars where it snows, floods.
