to much vacuum ?
is it possible to have to much vacuum, im pulling 22-25 hg of vacuum in my turbo gsr, at idle it smokes alot of blue smoke but when i get on it, no smoke, also my idle is at 1700rpm and ive tried everything to bring it down, nothing works, any help would be great. thanks
Vacuum is a function of RPM and throttle position. If the engine couldn't get enough air, it would cause high vacuum readings. Too high and the engine would shut off.
However, you claim an idle of 1700RPM, which would indicate the engine is getting too much air (open vacuum port, intake leak, stuck throttle plate, etc)
Smoke at idle is ussually a sign of worn valve guides.
