Default Motor mount problems

the last idiot who owned my car decided to tighten everysingle bolt with out torquing and i had to re tap the threads everywehre. Well long story short the drivers side mount needs to be re tapped and i have broken the bits used to drill it.... Anyone know how to get this done??



that is the mount im talking about.

you can buy a tapping kit at stores but i dont know how well that would hold up for a motor mount. take it to a local shop or something and have them do it? take the mount bolt itself if you go

well the block was tapped to a bigger size and we need to tap the mount to a bigger size. and tapping the mount isnt working

Don't tap the mount to the next bigger size. Just use a time-sert in the block. It'll cost a little more, but is a permanent and much stronger repair. Plus if you ever need to change the mount/bracket, it'll be a simple install.

im not sure if were talking about the same thing but you can get heli coils its like a stud with a tapped hole in the center if you do that make sure you clean the hole and coil very good with something like break or carb cleaner and cover it in high temp locktight let it set up and you should be good its sad how people cant spend 20$ on a book and 15 on a cheap wrench poor hondas

i bought a 88 accord with jb weld on an oil pan once be happy your extra big hole isnt filled with that and the bolt just stuck in lol good luck
