Re: motor mount inserts
the inserts suck. i just put them in my 92 ls. they fit like crap and didnt provide much additional stiffness. i will be getting full aftermarket mounts very shortly.

Re: motor mount inserts
if you broke a mount, then you need a mount, inserts don't fix broken metal... but if your looking for inserts i put prothane polyurethane inserts on my teg and they fit great and are well worth the money.

Re: motor mount inserts
I tried the ES mounts in the front torque mounts only, and it made the car vibrate like all hell at idle. I took them out and replaced with new OEM and it's so much nicer now.

Re: motor mount inserts
I have front and rear ES inserts on my RS, it vibrates alittle bit, but its not terribly bad.
in my opinion if you are planning on eliminating wheel hop, dont waste your time with inserts, as soon as you start to make some power they will hop again. just buy some race mounts and call it a day

Re: motor mount inserts
Inserts will def. be your cheapest route, then, but just be aware that you may get more vibration in the cabin than before. The rear mount and front lower torque mounts are the most sensitive to transmitting vibration, though, since those control the engine's fore/aft movement. I'm not sure how much vibration you'll get if you use inserts in one or both of the side mounts.

Re: motor mount inserts
If you wanted to go the cheep way u can use window urethane and use a calking gun. It works ok, but I wouldn't do this unless i was realy hard up for cash.

Re: motor mount inserts
the inserts only fit OEM mounts and only the two axle mounts and the rear motor mount. the trans mount and side motor mount do not get one. aftermarket cheapo mounts never quite fit right with the energy inserts
