motor help??

Default motor help??

since most of you think that i should do a motor swap which should i do?? b18c1 or b18c5? remember im gonna boost it so which of the 2 are better to boost and what are the pros and cons of both?? any help would be much appriciated... i have only heard of the c5 from one person i didnt even know if it exsisted he says its out of a type-r..... thanks

the b18c5 will give you a little more horsepower but for the money i would go with a b18c1. Personally i would build a really good ls vtec and hella boost it

if ur boostin.. i'd say jus save some cash n go wit the gsr c1 jus my 2cents.

if i was u id get the LS B18b and boost that. its more friendly for boost and has lower commpresion. As for the b18c5 that engine is really expenisive and u would really have to do the internals to run safe boost

i already have the b18b. the reason im thinking motor swap is because i wanna swap the tranny and i can find a motor tranny combo alot easier! thank you for all your help .. ghost

me personally, if i were to boost. i would do a b20 vtec, it has the 2liter block with out boring the walls making them week and it already has the low c/r pistons insuring a safe boost the only thing i would change is the rods and as you know honda rods suck under pressure

the b-20 comes out of the honda cr-v correct? if so a friend of mine just bought one for his 98 civic ex! they are nice i hear that the compression ratio is like 8.1 to 1.0 or something like that im not sure thanks everyone for the help i appriciate it greatly...
