Bought a new tranny used installed ,drove for about a week ,tonite as i was driving home from my girls house on the highway ,my 5th gear kept on popping out . i would throw it back in 5th it would drive for like 1 or 2 miles then it would pop out .
**** this im so sick of problem after problem building this car it never ends the aggrevation and money spent never ends .

 

5th gear synchro = failure in your case.

 

ive heard of this a few times....i think it has to do with your shift linkage?

 

bitch to the guy that sold you the tranny. it's probably not shift linkage. And unless yoou hear a crunch every time you put it in 5th i don't really understand how the synchro has failed

 

i bought this tranny so i can use it whyle i rebuild my gsr one in school , if i bitch to the guy and bring it back to him all he is gonna do is have me return it and untill he finds one ,my car would be out of league .... i dont know about you guys but in nj honda trannies are like gold, you have to dig for them to find one ..
im very unmotivated with finshing my project there is always a new problem .
