Default miss shift.. need help

Me and my friend going home and my friend was driving my car and he miss shift 3rd to 4th and went into 2nd gear and the car redline over 9300k. At first I didnt really think of anything b/c I had to much stuff in my head and it seems fine. After 30 mins of driving we exit off the freeway and the car died, so we pull over to the gas station and try starting the car. It have a hard time starting up and it idle like its going to die and the motor shakes, but we had to get home so drove it back home (30 mins drive). It seem fine at high rpm, once we got back I had my friend check the compressions. The 1st cly. had 196 compressions but the other three had about 10 compressions. I asked my friend and they said it could be bent valves. so i would like to hear what you guy think it could be I would aprreciate it. BTW i have a stock 2000 gsr.

yes because your wheels are still turning fast, it overcomes the rev limiter, best thing is to put the clutch in as fast as you can, I think I have hit almost 10,000 rpm in my ls before but no damage cuz it was only for .01 seconds.

hes only paying half, he drove it his responsibility...then again i wonder why you let him drive..were u guys cruising around and he just happened to slip into 2nd rather then 4th, or were yall racing and he was smashing gears and jammed into 2nd, which lead to bent valves?

He should pay 100% the cost to return it to OEM condition(assuming you had it OEM before the misshift). If you want to pay more to upgrade, then you can foot the bill for the difference between OEM and aftermarket. My $.02
