Default Need Some HELP... Car Shut Off After a Missed Gear

99 Type Sh Shut off after i Missed 4th and went into 2nd. Car wont turn on after that. Anyone got any ideas what is wrong???

Sounds a lot like you dropped some valves. Try taking out the spark plugs and see what they look like.

Agreed, sounds like you bent some valves. A friend of mine did that on his 2000 base and bent all 8 exhaust valves.

If he's lucky, he just has bent valves. From my speculations though, I think he dropped some valves, which means he'll need a new head & to rebuild his bottom end, basically a complete longblock.

Mechanical over-rev FTL.

Sorry to hear that man, but you dropped valves. Time to look for another longblock or tear that one apart to rebuild (you'll probably need another head however).
