Default Misfire Problem

I just recently aquired a 99 integra that was put together by a local shop. Nothing out of the ordinary. bone stock 99 Integra LS. Car was a shell and was pieced together. New interior, front bumper, fenders, lights, OBD2 LS Engine. ECU was chipped to remove the key emobilizer for the ingition. here is the problem

ECU keeps throwing Misfire cyl#4. - the shop is pretty much "out of ideas"

here is what has been done in attempt to fix this.
New Plugs
New Wires
New ignitor for distributor, then swapped distributors
Injectors

Any ideas? I am loosing faith in the shop that performed the work. It should be nothing complicated. this is once again a BONE STOCK 99 LS.

ANy help is appriciated

Run a compression test. You can rent a tester from Autozone and do it yourself, there's instructions on here if you search. You might have a burned/bent valve. The shop should have already tested for that though...

I hope you didn't have to pay too much for all that other work like new plugs, wires, etc. The proper way to test would just be to swap with another cylinder, that way you can eliminate the problem without spending money on parts you're not sure you need.

If the compression test shows that cylinder #4 is lower than the other, you may also want to try adjusting the valves to possible correct the problem. If the valves tappets are too tight, you compression can be lowered.

Have you checked the cam timing?

Yes,i did.tdc on #1 with the timing marks on the cams all the way straight up.the compression in all 4 cylinders are the same so that's another indication that the timing is right.

Did you find TDC with the white timing mark on the crank pully? The red mark is 16 deg. BTDC.
