map sensor problems!!
I have a 98 gsr turbo and I keep having problems with my map sensor. I just rebuilt my engine b/c it had blowby. After that it ran great until I started having problems with my map sensor fouling out. I know oem map's only can read 11 psi and I did not have a missing link or anything to relase the pressure. I found out I blew out the diaphram in the map so I got a new one and bought a missing link valve for it. Problem is my map sensor has been relocated off the throttle body and over by the strut tower and connected by a vacuum line. I placed it back on the throttle body and put the missing link on but now it runs like **** and I cant get more than like 7 psi. So I put it back where it was and took off the missing link but still problems. Does it just need to be tuned and get a biogger map sensor or what? Someone let me know what the deal is?
