who has a list of stuff that needs to be done when the Maint. Reqd. light flashes? I did a search already, & i saw around 5 or 6 threads on how to hit the reset button.

change your oil and reset the light

 

change the muffler bearings and blinker fluid while your at it... since you already have the hood open and you'll save the hassles of doing it later on the side of the road should someting happen... also inspect the gasket on the backside of the flux-capacitor for abnormal wear....

 

the guy at the dealership asked if i wanted the halogen fluid for my headlights. should i get it?


dude, i changed my oil 1K miles ago.

& since the Maint Reqd light comes on evey 30K miles or so, there's more stuff to it than changing the oil.
I've heard that it's like changine the distriubutor cap & rotor, plugs, wires, fuels filter, etc. but i have yet to find a compete list of what to do

 

Isn't the 142k = the 60k schedule maintenance sicne the owners manual lists up to only 90k service needs?

it usually tells ya things like this.

 

light comes on every (pre-programmed intervals) and 7500 miles is one of them.. regaurdless of whether or not you did an oil change.. it's just a programmed light so you go runnning to the dealer for "service"....

if you changed your oil.. reset the light and dont worry about it...
