i am building my 2nd ls/vtec this time i am putting higher compression pisonts in and shotpeend rods and rod bolts and all the necessities. I am getting my block honed and the rods shotpeend and the rods pressed on the pistons and i am wondering what are fair prices for that kind of work??? I am located in north minn. if anyone knows of any good shops let me know. and what kind of pistons to use forged or gsr or ITR

 

from personal experience here is what i would expect

bore and hone - $100
hottank - $50
press pistons onto rods - $10/each
shotpeen rods - $115-20/each
