LsVtec vtec issue
k so, b18b1 bottom end wit a gsr head, peiced together a vtec kit wit **** we got from princess auto, issue is that we cant get vtec to crack, and theres no cel codes. we hooked up an oil pressure gauge, and when u hammer on it oil pressure will get up to 50 psi before where vtec is tuned to crack (4500) and then drops maybe 10 psi and sits at 40 untill redline, sometimes itll get up to 60 after vtec. the kit consisted of a 4an line (18 inches long) its a hydraulic line however. theres a t fitting off the oil pressure sensor hole, and the oil pressure gauge is t-ed off that fitting. the head has been machined to plug off port on the bottom of the head. running an ls dizzy wit the one bracket cut off (i herd it works, i herd it doesnt... but as far as ive researched the dizzy should work), car runs well, seems to atleast. we bypassed the oil pressure switch (wired into solenoid) to see if it would crack... nothing. when you put 12 volts to the solenoid it clicks open and closed, so i know it works. what else... uh... k/s, ckp, and o2 has been disabled (ecu was done teknotik) and car was converted to obd1. any ideas? we also wired a wire from the battery, and took the wire for the vtec solenoid, and started driving, when the engine got to 4500 rpm, i touched them together and it didnt crack. (haha ghetto)
