also, i need a straight answer, first, what pistons are pr3 from?

second, what pistons will bolt up directly to the ls rod bolts, w/out ANY modification to the pistons/ rods, or block?

and what about the resizing still? lol

and i plan on getting new OEM ls bearings just to make sure </TD></TR></TABLE>

PR3's will yield 11.6:1 compression in a LSVTEC with GSR head (want to clarify since I double checked)

PR3's come from USDM B16's or GEN1 JDM B16's, these will bolt to the LS rods without modification. So will any B16 piston.

In my reading there are people not using ARP rod bolts that haven't had problems, there are people using ARP rod bolts that didn't get the rod resized that didn't have problems, and there are people using ARP rod bolts that did get the rod resized that didn't have problems. The best idea is to probably just do both. The machine work will cost $40-$80 and the bolts are like $33. But if you dont want to, my second best option would be use stock rod bolts, new bearings and keep it under 7500.

it's the same question everywhere you look... after reading the posts here's my contribution.

i rev my Ls/Vtec up to 8100. i'm making 175whp and 135lbs torque and rev up there almost 3-4 times a day. my stock ls rods where machined to fit JDM ITR oversized (.25) pistons. In response to a previous post above, you will NEVER machine a piston to fit a rod. as stated you can use any b16 piston on an LS rod and it'll fit without modification. i also have ITR bearings renotched to fit the rods. i have a semi built N/A LS block with a stock B16 head.

i was wondering about getting the block bored also to get the pistons to fit.... but i understand from you guys and many people that b16 pistons don't need modification to ANYTHING to work.

i got a guy on hondaforums that said for a certain price he can send me already machined LS rods and a set of arp bolts for a price.. so i think i'll just have him send me some that are already machined so i can make sure.

as for bearings, do i just buy OEM replacement bearings? what brand should i use thats cheap but decent in quality?
