I know this thread is old but are ARP connecting rod bolts absolutely mandatory for lsvtec?

^^ Honestly, there's nothing to really "agree" to. Some have built ls,b20/vtec setups with stock bolts and some haven't. Some blew and some didn't.

The key to take away from the thread is upgrading the rod bolts is not mandatory, but a very good preventive measure.
