LSD for 92-93 gsr cable trans or b16?
Please read before posting!
I have a 92 gsr trans, it is a Cable one
im looking into getting a LSD of some sort
from what i have pieced together, the type-r has a stock lsd, BUT thatwon't work because it is a hydro trans
the YS1 is for a b16, but came with an optional LSD (Y1??) cable?
so my options are to what?
find a b16 y1 lsd trans to swap on? or
buy aftermarket lsd (obx, quaife, kaaz) to put into mine....BUT most manufactureres say that they fit all integra 90-00 (which are very different)
so i am weary about trusting the fitment (and i don't want to open up trans and wait for parts when they don't match)
ANY THOUGHTS OR ADIVE ON THIS?
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME

The Type-R LSD should fit into your casing if you use the FD gears(ring and pinion) and maybe need some bearings. You could also just get the whole Type-R tranny and do a cable to hydro conversion.
The B16 cable LSD will not work in your case but if you get the whole tranny, then you can use the tranny if you get a 90-91 clutch disc also.
Aftermarket I don't know anything about.

The ITR LSD will fit the GSR YS1 case. I have this setup in mine. You will need the 66 tooth ring gear to fit the differential as the stock S1 has a smaller bolt pattern that will not fit the ITR diff. The YS1 ball bearing type diff bearings will work as well. You will also have to order at least 1 80mm. x 1 mm. shim from Honda. The other 80 mm. shim will be used to set up you diff bearing clearance. IIRC I had to put one of the shims on the innermost side to get the proper clearance between the speedo gear and the case.
It can be done.
