I would get some sort of limiter at 7600...

Mine hits vtec at 4700 and redlines at 7600 with chipped ecu

If its stock, dont go higher then 7600.. if its not, then you could go anywhere up to 8 or even 9 if its built..

Whats the stats?

i would think you would be around 8200 with the conversion.
i have also heard that the rods have a hard time eventually dealing with that if they are stock ls
rods. but not 100% sure

5900 vtec? haha whatt he hell for?

If your max power ends at 7600 why vtec so late?

You might want to get a Spoon or VAFC and map that down a hell of a lot more dude..

yup, as far as being stock..

the engine will not handel very much rev at 8000... even 7700 is pushing it

with the setup he has right now its about 9.2 to 1 compression, very very low, if you want to rev up higher you might want to bump it up with SIR or CTR ITR pistons..

like I said, stay away from the 8's, keep it around mid 7 range..

Good luck guys..

btw: asap oil/water from gsr .. pick them up and install them, your going to regret it later on if you dont...

honestly IMO the best way to see where you should shift at is put it on a dyno.. wherever your car makes its peak power at, is roughly where you should be shifting.. that is IF your bottom end can handle it however.. if its stock bottom end i wouldnt shift past 8 really but thats just my 02 cents.

my car is stock ls/vtec, intake and exhaust..

It went on the dyno and we set the rev limiter at 7600 and vtec at 4700, no matter how much better you may think it could be.. its probably around the exact same, go over 7600.. hell, tell him to hit 9000 and then well talk when it blows up..

yes, if the car is non-vtec to begin with, your going to want to upgrade to oil and water pump from a GSR... highely reccomended
