Default ls/vtec

What's fellow enthusiasts, I need someone who knows to send me some info. about ls/vtec. what is it? what kind of power can I expect? cost? good and bads? so you know it alls out there, drop me a line and give me your opinion. thanks

Well my opinion on LS/Vtec is not all that favorable. It's capable of being powerful and reliable but, more often than not there are allot of problems. The cost can vary widely depending on which head & electronics you use. Personally I think you'd be better off building up an FI setup, but that's my own opinion. You'll hafta decide for yourself. Another note is that even when you're all done with your LS/Vtec engine you still won't have the gearing of the GSR or ITR, unless you swap that out too. Of course this is also true in an FI setup, but there's more power there and the gearing won't hurt you so much. Here's a link to some dynos of LS/Vtecs done the right way.
