Stock LS/V with CTR pistons will be reliable. You can rev to 9500 all day long and not worry with those pistons. Have fun and dont smoke too many mustangs!

You can't rev to 9500 with an LS-V. The bottom end can't handle it. Also, this is the same exact setup I have, and it is very reliable, but I'm not smoking any mustangs yet. Hopefully I'll have my turbo kit hooked up soon, then I'll go looking for mustangs.

Pardon the sarcasim but I think the noob was exagerating just a little.

As far as that turbo kit, just make sure you get a thicker head gasket to lower your static C/R, because high compression and boost doesnt make for good reliability or tune-ability for that matter.

Reliability is all in how you build your setup. Read the LS/VTEC build thread and you'll have no trouble at all...
