ls vtec is reliable if it is done right. dont let just anyone do it. and you should think about a b16 haed. from what i hear that is the best flowwing head

best thing to do is keep it stock. i bolted on my old gsr head onto a stock ls bottom. it ran fine for about 8 months and then it was stolen. it was def faster than the gsr and never gave me a problem

the reason why you see all the same threads and questions about everything, is cause all the same problems are happening to some people and they are having some of the same questions other peope have had, and they dont have the knowledge of their question. the reason why you dont see new stuff is cause there isnt many new problems that are happening that peolple dont know about yet and cant answer. or that much of new types of products or setups out there. and it is anoying to search through 100's of threads to find your answer (it is very knowledgable to do that but its anoying). so since there is thousands of people on here that can just easly post a link or answer the question, why not ask. if some peole would just answer instead of being an a** and search, search, search. it would just be easier to answer or help. if everyone just took alot of time to search through 100's of threads and 1000's of post then the forums would die out. and the forums are here to help people out. and seeing that we are dealing with older cars then there isnt many problems that would be new or unanswerable questions.
