Default LS help

hello i have a 91 honda crx with a 94 b18b1. today we started the car after just changing the radiator and it starts good, then all of a sudden the tack turned off and it started idling all fucked up, then when i would put it in reverse the check engine light would turn on and it would die. then now it sounds like theres a lot of detonation, like it sputters when i rev it bad, and it runs lean, like theres too much fuel. we tried messing with the FPR but same ****, does anyone know why this could have happend. well we looked for any loose wires and we found a plug that was disconnected but im not sure what this plug is. and would it really affect the engine to sound like it does. well heres a pic, can someone tell me what that plug is.

it's the temp switch that goes to your fan so they can regulate water temps

Regulate water pumps? WTF

Any how its your Coolant Temp Gauge Sendor, all it does is suppy the gauge cluster with a coolant reading, has nothing to do controlling the fans or fuel..

The ECT Sensor:
PURPOSE
The Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor measures coolant temperature to supply the Engine Control Module (ECM) with engine temperature data.

OPERATION
As coolant temperature increases, sensor resistance decreases. The ECM receives sensor information as resistance to ground. Coolant temperature information is used to determine proper fuel delivery.
