ls head vs vtec head?
I plan on doing a complete ls bulid and i am wondering if i have to run a vtec head in order to get more from the motor or can i just get the ls head worked over (port and polished with bigger valves and cams)? also i am planning on turboing in the near future. new to hera but i heard great things so help me out if ya can
its definately easier to get more power out of a vtec head, turbo or n/a. I gained over 50whp on a turbo ls, when i swapped the vtec head on.
For ease of potential power, go with a VTEC head. Not to mention, the kind of cams you'd need to match VTEC cams with LS cams, drivability would be GREATLY sacraficed.
Just get some mild all motor cams, or stock Type-R cams, with appropriate valvetrain, and you'll love it.
