i just traded my crx for a da it has an ls this is what it has i just wanna know is it a decent engine with these parts on? has wheel arp rod bolts and head studs dual valve spring3 angle valve job? whats all this ****? lol thank you

 

ARP rod bolts and head studs are simply replacing your current OEM bolts and studs, lots of people like ARP because they are stronger then the stock OEM.

A dual valve spring in a LS head means that at one point it might have had aftermarket cams, however on a stock PR4 LS cams it won't really make a difference.

3 angle valve job means that valve has been cut in 3 different angles instead of the stock 2 angle...This just means that your valves have a better sitting/seal...

My final thought is that maybe that head was on a turbo set-up, or maybe they were trying to build it for a turbo set up.

Sound like it could be a good buy, however if it was turbo before it could've been beaten up pretty bad too...

The LS 1.8L DOHC engine is a very good and dependable engine, I do agree that if they are stock cams the dual valve springs are probably not doing anything for you, however they can't hurt. 94

 

alright cool thanks im gonna go ls vtec anyways i just wanted to know. or would it be better to just boost this in the long run can an ls be a better build than a b16 head or gsr head?

 

I am a fan of the LSV, but make sure someone with experience doing LSV swaps does it, no offense, but I don't think you have the know how. But turbo is good too I guess...not my cup tea!

Try the hondamarketplace or look at the FI section of HT they always have good deals bro.
