low idle

Default low idle

ok i have a 97 teg mods are stage 1 turbo cam, dc 4 into 1 header, cold air,2.25 ex with magnaflow muffler. my car idles around 700 and drops to 400-500 and back up to 700 and back down. please help

probably a vacuum issue that where i'd put my money on !

you might need a valve adjustment. thats how my car idles as well and i know my valves need to be adjusted

yea id say valve adjustment too what did u set the valve adjustment to when u put in those cams some cames us different specs then oem

It could also be your throttle positioning sensor, Idle Air control Valve, or Low coolant would also make your car idle up and down.

if u jus dropped the cams in there then u need to do a valve adjustment find out what they need to be adjusted to from the place u got the cams.

Are you tuned? I have had the greddy emanage tuned with my car, i have skunk2 stage 1's, it idled fine, ever since the hondata was put on my car does the same there, it bounces from 500-800, my cousin has the same problem. Maybe its a hondata thing.

You also might want to try cleaning your FITV (Fast Idle Thermo Valve)..

Reasons why you should take it apart and clean it:
-High idle before your car warms up
-Lumpy idle
-Roaming idle
-Hunting idle
-Fluctuating idle
