low compression in cylander 1...help!!

Default low compression in cylander 1...help!!

ran compression test and got 190 across the board, except cylander 1 whic was dangerously low at 125. leak dow test broght it up a lil, but not much..

question is do i need to replace the valves, all or just the 2 intake and exhaust ones, or could it be the rings

any help would be appreciated

just need a compression gauge.. and remove spark plugs...im sure theres a search on how to do it

warm the car back up. do the test again.

check cyl 1 if it reads low put a capful of oil down the cyl , recheck compression then. if it raises it up higher you have a problem in your block. most likely a issue with your ring

retried and it went up to 185, so what u r saying is i need to replace the piston ring in that cylander right?

you bet.

I have the same cyl. out. Went out over the weekend, Mine was reading 60, put a capful of oil in it . went up to 200. common sign of a bad ring.

what would cause the ring to fail like that, no problems with any other cylanders...odd
