lost keys
hey, guys i lost my car keys with alarm but i went to dealership gave them my VIN # and i got copy of the key it wont fit in and turn my car on not even on doors i went again to see if they did it wrong she gave made me another one didnt fit they thought they cut it wrong. She told me to go find the 4digit code thats on locks? anybody help please?
u gotta take of a lock from ur door and then on cylinder itself there will be 4 small numbers, but u cant seem from inside, u gotta take out the cylinder all the way out and its kinda hard to see them.
Did you try the key in all the locks?
The most likely culprit is:
1) Your car was stolen at some point and all the locks have been changed (thus the key code from the vin will cut keys for the oem locks, not the replacements)
2) The original key & lock have worn out overtime and use so cutting a new key won't work as it will not be worn out like the cylinder.
3) The gun the dealership is using to cut the keys is faulty and needs maintenance.

Id say the locks have been replaced at some point. take the trunk lock into lock smith and they can make a key from that.
Or alternatively go to a honda wreckers and buy new set of locks.
