Default Lost keys, dealer supplied WRONG key

I lost the keys to my 89 crx, so i took the ownership to honda, got a key cut & it wont work, spoke to the manager, was told that its a possibility that all the cylinders were changed & was advised to remove the trunk cylinder because its the was the easiest to get to & a code could possibly be obtained from there.
So when i went back, explained everything to the part morons at honda , because the manager wasnot there this time & now they are trying to sell me a new cylinder & a key.
any ideas? should i try to disassemble the lock cylinder myself &checck for the tumbler code?

Find out when the manager will be there, go there and have the manager and part guys do what the manager said he would do for you.
