Ok, so I have been to the track a few times with my 94 ls coupe.. I was wondering which would be a better way to launch... take it to around 3,500 rpm and dump the clutch or take the motor to limiter and feather the clutch out... thanks in advance for replies... the only reason i ask this is because i have only tried launching around 3,500 rpm, but i see all these other hondas/acuras launching from the rev limiter

 

hold it at your desired rpm, dump clutch and hold the throttle steady until you catch trction and then floor it

 

ok thx,, another question i have is. I just bought a blox intake manifold.. and i was wondering if when i put it on if i will notice much of an increase in power.... thx

 

you will feel better high end power with the blox manifold

if you have a gsr motor it wil shift your peak torque much further towards the high end of the power range

 

so i wont notice any low end power gains with it? also whats kind of hp gain can i expect with it?

It depends on your other mods. Have you done any other mods that require your engine to get more air? If not you would be lucky to get 1hp. Your not going to "feel it" either.

 

and the "launching off the limiter" you are referring to is a 2step.

 

AEM CAI and Skunk 2 throttle body...

 

with those mods what kind of gains can i expect with the intake manifold? i also have a Dc sports header and apexi full exhuast

Some of us launch with a launch limiter, also known as 2step. thats why you think we're launching at the rev limiter. If people really did launch with the rev limiter it'll just a huge burn out.
