??KYB shocks??
hey everyone - i am going to lower my teg with neuspeed sport springs - i know i am going to need new shocks too - do any of you guys have any experience with KYB?? what are your opinions?? do you think i should spend some more money and get the non adjustable Tokico?? let me know what you think - thanks
Are you talking about the adjustable KYB shocks? I think they're the KYB AGX or something like that. I've heard they are decent shocks. I have the Tokico Illuminas (adjustable) and they are good too. Everyone will tell you that the koni yellows are the best, because they are. There are differences between what people think about the tokico's and the kyb's. You should be alright with the KYB adjustables though, I haven't heard too many complaints.
how about the non adjustable?? i think they're called GR-2
I blame Eibach.
on the KYB AGX's 4 way adj for the teg.awesome shock for the money
$347 shipped at coximports.com
thats the same setup i have (neuspeed sports w/ kyb's) until recently when i put the ITR springs on cuz it was too low for me

yes Koni's are a good choice, but for the money you can't beat the KYB AGX's that's what my GSR is on.
there is nothing wrong with the GR2 non-adjustable KYB shocks. get em if you cant afford the AGXs. the AGXs are a good shock, but its not going to be a huge difference. ive tested these shocks on my car and i only liked being able to adjust the AGXs for complete stiffness for drag racing. other than that.. the ride was comparable and performance was still there as compared to stock shocks.
i definitley want my ride to be a little stiffer than stock - the AGX along with the neuspeed sports will make it stiffer right? and about adjusting the shocks - is it fairly easy to do?? thanks
mlambrecht: how much did u drop your teg? i have H&R sports and KYB AGX. the drop is great and the handle is very nice. the only thing is the scrapping. i had it on for a month and i memorized all the little bumps on my commute. i even avoid certain shopping markets cuz of the steep ramps.
if you're on the budget and you're not on planning on slamming the car, get the KYB AGX. i also got them at coximports. great people and great price.

I have the KYB AGX's and matched up with Ground Controls. I have had them for like 3 months now and the passenger rear is totally blown and the drivers side is goin now too, its getting very mushy. They were good when i first got them, but now they suck to me. I am gonna be selling my old setup and moving to a full coilover like the Zeal B2's.
From what i understand, AGXs are not designed to be used with springs that lower the car more than 1" or so and KYB will not warranty them. I have a set of AGXs up front with neuspeed sports and I'm hoping they will last at least a year until I have $$.
for those of you that have the ground control - how much did they drop your car?
and if you guys dont think that the AGX's would be good to go with the neuspeed sports 1.75/1.5 drop. - do you think i would be better off with Tokico, or should i just go the extra mile and get the Koni Yellows?? thanks
