I posted this in the tech section & got no answers so I moved it here in hopes someone has an idea.

Ok we broke my knock senser taking out my motor a friend gave me one. We broke it putting the motor back in. Bought a used one for 50.00 ever sense then I get a soft code for knock it only throws a code when crusing between 2500 & 4500 never any lower or higher. I can drive the car hard & it never throws a code till I slow down & cruse. If I just drive the car normaly it will throw the code within 15 mi or so. Soft code for the ones that don't know is a code that resets every time you turn the car off. It will through a code I can push the clutch in turn the key off turn it back on check eng light goes off. Any ideas?
