Knock and VSS code! Help
I have a 94 GSR motor in my eg and the past few days my speedometer has be going crazy. It will go up to 120 and 100 and move all over. It has been doing it for a few days and then yesterday it threw a code while driving. After i shut the car off it went away and i assumed it was the vss. Then on my way home later that night i hit about 6-7 grand and it started sounding like it was missing or something but didnt throw a code. then later that night just cruising driving normal it threw another code. i checked the codes this morning and they were vss and knock. would these to have and relation to each other. btw the motor is stock and has been running great so i dont know why it would throw a knock code. thanks.

Re: Knock and VSS code! Help (TealEG!)
Well VSS code is being thrown probally b/c of a bad connection or bad sensor.
Check the connection. Sometimes its the plug making bad contact.
happened to me after i had bought 150 dollar sensor. which didn't fix my problem
As for the knock sensor, it could be the wiring. How did you wire the knock sensor?
Did you use shielded wire?
Is your ecu throwing other codes besides those two ?

Re: Knock and VSS code! Help (Slamaccord)
i think the vss is definitely the plug which i am not worried about but i am trying to figure what the sputter is around 7 grand. it hasnt thrown the code all day but it still sputters. im hoping that the vss has something to do with the sputtering. the knock sensor i believe is wired find because it has been fine for over a month now.
