well im not sure its the same from a d series but why do you want to know is your car acting up or something cuz if its running fine then there is no need to worry like i said mine wasnt plugged in actually my aicv plug was plugged into my knock sensor and it ran like *** but then i fixed it and it ran like a beaut and my motor was running beautifuly to its fullest potential without it and i never had any detonation cuz of that just from a fucked up ignition coil so like they say if it aint broke dont fix it and the knock sensor dont really do much anyways but yeah im pretty sure there the same throughout the b engines

so i dont have to run a knock sensor with a stock pr3? will throw a code and not let vtec kick in? the reason why im worried bout it is i have my head off and i thought i would goahead and wire it and put it in (easier to do). my motor was running alright for a minute till it starting leaking oil real bad out the back of the head, so we cut it off. so we didnt let it run long enough to read. by the way its a built ls/vtec. brand new.

Open it up and if you see a secondary board on top of the primary board, that is the knock board. If it is just one single board on the bottom, it doesn't support the knock sensor, so you won't need one.

another thing to note is that the knock sensor DOES NOT diasble vtec. it will run into a sort of limp mode and retard your ignition....and u will lose a substantial amount of power. most aftermarket performance chips will eliminate the knock sensor.
