Default Just got Hondata!!

I have a 96 GSR with a Rev Hard kit, T3/T04E turbo, Victor X manifold, RC 750 injectors, Hondata heat gasket, civic r n1 crank pulley, MSD blaster ss coil cap and wires, Digital 6 plus (not installed) and 2.5 inch exhaust.

The tune went really well considering it was 101 degrees outside, this made everything take longer because of the time needed to cool the engine between runs. I ended up with 284 whp and 214 tq. I figure on an 80 degree I would be pretty close to 300. I also found out that I have my vacuum lines ran wrong and so I am dropping a pound of boost as soon as I hit my peak of 10 psi. He said I basically have to much vacuum line and too many tees off of it, it is so long that it isn't holding constant pressure. I am going to get this worked out and install my ignition and head back to the dyno on a cooler day. Here is the dynosheet:
http://www.imagestation.com/pi...g.jpg
How does it look for you guys who have seen hundreds of these? How much of a gain and do you thiunk it is worth it for me to go from 2.5" exhaust to 3".

How much boost are you going with? How much did it cost to tune? Mine was $400. I Love It, Yesterday I beat a Honda 600 bike (a few years old), an Evo, and a Z06.

I was pulling on the Evo so bad he gave up before I even got through second gear. The Z06 was a pretty even race from a 40 roll we pulled up to about 120 and he was at my back bumper. His liscense tag said viper killer, I think I am going to get one that says CRVTKLR The bike was a race getting on the highway, I thought he was going to cream me so I nailed it as soon as I got off the onramp and I got a little head start. I stayed on it to about 120 and watched him in my rear view mirror. He never closed the gap but maintained it about the same as when we started.

I can't wait for more victims, I would like to find one the first vipers and I want to race this M5 that beat me before the Hondata. Now I would walk away from him, a Porsche Boxter S, 911 Carrera, Ferrari 360 Modena, a Supra, new SVT cobra. These are some of the races I would look forward to!

I ran a 13.0 before Hondata and the jg intake manifold, I think I can pull a 12.5 now. Which is the same as a Z06. Why is it so hard to beleive?

Did you purchase a complete rev hard turbo kit? If so, how much did you spend and are you happy with the results? I would guess you are b/c of the numbers on a stock block.

I am getting an ls soon and am looking for a good turbo kit. I think I might go with rev hard

I am happy with my kit, but I have recently heard that the Turbosmart 35mm wastegate that comes with the kit doesn't do well past 16 psi. So if you plan on buidling the motor I would tyr to get a different wastegate or go with a different kit. I think a Drag, Rev Hard, or FMAX/turbonetics, Greddy kit will all give about the same results. I paid 2850 with free shippping and that was about a year ago, I have seen some specials for 2600 now.

Yea my motor will be stock internals for a while. Also what parts did you need extra that didnt come with the kit?

Im just trying to figure out what else I will need if any after that large chunk of change

All I needed was an intake to come off the turbo. I used my old filter and cut up my cold air pipe to make one. You might need an oil pan gasket for when you pull the oil pan.

Ohh ok sweet. But didnt you have to upgrade the injectors? But besides that everything was a bolt-on process?

With the Rev Hard kit you get a Vortech rising rate FMU in which you use the stock injectors.

It worked great for a little over a year. But when you get an extra $1000 or so, I would recommend getting Hondata and aftermarjet injectors. The difference feels like when I first put the turbo on the car!

Here's what I have put together when I get my teg, but I will only have about 8,000$ to spend. Help me cut down....lol

+$2,000: LS Motor
+$3,000: RevHard Turbo
+$700: Suspension (coils, shocks, camber kit, Labor for camber kit)
+$600: Tunning/Safc controller
+$600: Rims/Tires
+$500: Exhaust
+$500: Parts for motor(Timing belt, water pump, dist. coil, etc)
+$200: Chipped ECU
+$100: Ls obd2 Valve Cover
+$300: Type R Clutch
+$350: Skunk2 Intake manifold
+$150: Skunk2 Shifter/Shift ****
+$50: Iridium Spark Plugs
+$50: NGK Wires
=$9,050 (for parts listed)

Are any of these parts cheaper than this or am I close to them?

The LS motor should be closer to $1000.
And you probably won't need the chipped ecu if you get a safc. It will do the same thing.
I would'nt do the type r clutch, it is probably not much stronger that the ls. Just do an ACT clutch.
Parts for motor will be closer to $300.

I would put this motor and setup into your hatch, you will be at least a full second quicker in the quarter than if you use a teg!
