JRSC and Comptech
I currently have the Comptech intake and ice box on my 00 GSR, but my future mods include a JRSC. My questions is if this will bolt up to the supercharger or if I will have to buy the Jackson Racing intake?
I also have the Comptech header and exhaust. Has anyone else ran this setup with a JRSC? Is the 2.25 piping borderline? I would really like to use my current setup and not have to buy a 2.5 T1R.
Thanks

The comptech should bolt up. Im running Apexi N1 piping with a 2.5 inch muffler with my JRSC. You will be losing hp with it, but probably not enough to justify buying a whole new exhaust for a .25 inch difference.

give comptech a call. comptech has a separate intake for JRSC application.

that has nothing to do with the JRSC and Comptech setup. If you know what he's talking about you'd clearly see the difference.
It will not work. The JRSC and Skunk2 manifold sit lower and further back than the stock GSR manifold. You'll have to buy a new one.
I called Comptech and they told me the same thing. The one designed for the JRSC is made specificly for it's purpose. You are supposed to buy the Type R one if you want to use it for the Skunk2 manifold.

in my experience, i didnt have to buy a new intake...but then again i had an AEM CAI...i was told at first that i would have to buy a new intake, which COMPTECH does make one specifically for a JRSC...but i called around, and talked to some trusted friends, and they told me all i would have to do is cut the pipe and twist it a lil and it will fit fine...and it looks like a short-ram intake now...but like i said, i didnt have the COMPTECH intake...
Thanks for the help guys. I took a peak at Comptech's website and found an intake and ice box system made just for the JRSC GSR and Type R. It only lists the item for a 94-99 GSR, but all JRSC are the same for 94-01 GSR's so I guess it was just a mistype.
Does anyone have any experience with the ice box on a JRSC application? I hear that the short ram is more beneficial, so I am wondering if I should just get the intake.

the AEM GSR CAI fit fine for me after cuting about 2-3" on the TB side, perfect fit.. even the mounting bracket still lined up and held.
