JDM type r conversion?
Anyone know how much it would cost to do a front jdm conversion on a usdm integra? How much would it cost for it to be professionally installed and painted to match the car? Been thinking about doing it on my four door gsr. I found one kit for 3,000 i don't know where i found it but that is really expensive. IT is also only the front conversion. Anyone know where i can find a cheaper kit. I don't want EBay either, looked there already.
it should run you around 5g's give or take a few hundreths. a friend of mine did it and it came out sick. http://www.passwordjdm.com will have all the parts to make the conversion succesful.
my friend got a hid front end locally w/ cf hood and lip for 2500. A local body shop installed for 500 and repainted the whole car for 1500. its damn nice

This is a pretty broad question with many parts, MOST of which can be answered this way:

Anyway, the labor for installation and paint can vary greatly. Paint, depending on how much quality you want can range anywhere from a few hundred to several thousand. Do you want to blend/match every single body panel? Do you want to do a simple gas cap color match? Do you want to blend just a single panel? How many coats? What color paint? It all matters. As for install, you can probably save some money doing it yourself. There are several links here on HT that can steer you in the right direction. As for labor on this, I'm not sure. I would personally do it myself.

When people talk about a "JDM conversion", they are primarily talking about converting the front end of a USDM Integra to a JDM front end (swapping hood, fenders, headlights, bumper, radiator support, etc). Are you interested in doing a full conversion to the ENTIRE car? (i.e.: Suspension, chassis, converting to RHD, engine, etc???)
