Re: JDM p72 b81c ecu vs USDM p72 b18c1 (racing_beat)
Well:
- JDM GSR is 178HP, 129 ft/lbs of TQ and the compression is 10.6:1
- USDM GSR is 170HP, 128 ft/lbs of TQ and the compression is 10:1
Both power peaks are at the same RPM, 7600 for HP and 6200 for TQ.
I'm not sure if there are any added goodies to the JDM ECU over the USDM one, I don't think so. Maybe someone else can answer that for ya.

I heard the pinout from the IAB's are different from the USDM P72 to JDM P72. The JDM ecu will send a ground signal to the IAB's when it wants a positive signal. Then the USDM ecu sends a positive signal to the IAB's when it wants a neg. Thats what just what I heard and I could have them mixed up.

bump because i have a jdm p72 in my gsr and also had questions about it. not very familiar with the jdm ecu, and need to try to get the stock one back. could a jdm p72 cause any engine problems?

I think all JDM ECUs have a speed governor. I have a JDM P13 and I got nothing after ~185 kms/hr.

Re: (EM2Civic)
the usdm ecu pulls hard on low end while because of the higher compression of the jdm motor it uses more gas so it lags on low end but im 3rd gear it pulls really hard iver got both and used both im my car and it also does the same thing im my friends car the usdm has better low end whild jdm has better high end and the jdm ecu cuts out at 120 mph
