Default JDM Front End Conversion.

Searched, and only came up with hmotorsonline, which didn't have the item listed anymore..

So, where can I find the parts for the conversion? Looking to do this so I can do the mugen work I wanted--Anyone show me where I can buy the parts.

And I'm asusming I'll need DA (2nd gen) Hood release/wiring harnesses for the lights?

Any info you feel would be nice to toss in as well as a place to find it is helpful.

they're located in hong kong. so shipping would take forever (and probably be expensive). this same company has a lot of jdm items for auction on ebay. i always thought of many of those asian companies selling ebay items as being suspicious- there are tons of companies selling fake north face or fake soccer jerseys, etc. this company may be legit, but i personally wouldn't buy from them

Yes they are loated off hong kong. But i bought a JDM ITR with REAL HID conversion. It only came out to 2126 TOTAL and that is with shipping. And no, this guy is legit. He even sent me a free JDM foglight switch for the conversion for free.

I should take pictures of my stuff to show you how good it is. You guys should email him cuz I searched my *** off and this is the chepast i found it. Look at his feedback too. So if you want cheap, this guy has it.

Like i said, i bought a kit from them and i just went to go pick it up last week. The product was absolutely brand new, no scratches and no dings. Even all the wiring was cut nicely not all ghetto. The packaging was perfect. And customer service, well let me put it this way. He even emailed me to tell me that he was going on vacation for a week to see his father and if i had any question call him personally on his cell phone. Seriously, this guy is legit but you should contact him for yourself. Shipping cost wasnt that bad. It came out to 500 total but it got here quick. If you get the non-hid you will be paying around 1850 out the door and you will get all OEM metal not that fiberglass garbage.

Okay, Thanks CalGSR99.
Now my one last question on the conversion: Is the JDM front end made with OEM metal, heavier, lighter, or about the same weight, as the USDM front end, made with OEM parts?

It should be around the same. The hood, fenders, radiator support, and front bumper are all the same weight. My HID lights do weight more than my USDM lights. But we are talking about a 30 lbf difference nothing big.

Just to give a quick warning, but the JDM front end is illegal in the US. Good luck with the conversion, I think it looks good. Also, consider removing the yellow plastic from the fog seciton of the headlights, and just use some of those "ion" yellow bulbs, so it doesn't make the reflector look as yellow in the day.

Yes, on a pallet. Everything was wrapped with cardboard individually then it was all placed in a big box (except the hood). Then it was wrapped up in a pallet. When i went to go pick it up they took it out of one of those big tank freights with a forklift and set it in my truck bed.

When i got home, I almost thought it was christmas opening up all my presents.

I know its illegal in the US, but even passing inspection with it shouldn;t be that hard, I wouldn't think, unless they go to crash test my car.

Just take measures to protect that baby. JDM y0! front ends are a red flag for thieves. That is the only bad thing i can think of about them. So enjoy and be careful!

Here are the pics people asked for. I didnt clean the kit so its a little dusty. Theres some tape pieces on the kit but i will remove them later. Like i said, i paid 2126 out the door but it was a hassle clearing it through customs. I dont know ift here is anyone cheaper but i am happy with my purchase.

really i think the only thing that makes it illegal is the cheezy bumper crash bar they use in japan. its about an inch thick. The US is alot beefier, that and the lights aren't DOT.. i don't know about anywhere else but in NY if a cop pulled me over and told me my JDM hid lights and front end was illegal i'd give him a cookie for knowing what the hell it was.

And where did u get that front end calgsr? looks in alot better condition than mine.. Mine from password looked like it was set on fire and rolled down a mountain.

HAHA, exactly. They are mostly looking for intercoolers and loud exhaust. If your car looks clean and not painted BRIGHT green then you ok.

I got it imported from hong-kong. I bought it from hkc-speed from a guy named Jimmy. I payed ~2200 for it. But the only thing that pissed me off was clearing it through customs. I had to pay a 55 dollar fee.
