Alot of people have done this conversion. Search a little bit and you will find alot about it. Honestly though, it's a waste of money.

it is definatly a waste sorta, i agree, on a two door teg, it wouldnt look that different. but seeing type R wheels on a 4 door teg
plus dont you get slightly better calipers and rotors(bigger diameter)??

Or you could just get a big brake kit that would out perform stock ITR brakes.

There are a few advantages to going with the 5 lug setup, brakes definately being one of them, however you also have to note that the 5 lug bolt pattern is also extremely more stable than the 4x100. Also, there is a slight increase in unsprung weight which lowers the center of gravity in the car.

no, not a waste of money. the 5 lug conversion is way different than the 4 lug. brakes like crazy. i think its a good investment...it can save your life one day.

If you're doing it for the 5-lug "bling", that's one thing, but if you're mainly concerned with the improved braking, IMO an overall better option would be an upgrade from FastBrakes.

if your doing it for bling, go right ahead...but if you honestly wanna brake better get something like the brembo, baer, or rotora..im im positive they will out perform the 5 lug with no prob...

PS: finding 5lug rims...good luck....for every 20 sets of rims on ht sold only 1 is 5 lug..i'd say.

PROPS to the guy who made the tutorial on the 5 lug how to! VERY SWEET!

THANKYOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP EVERYONE!

it has taken me 3-4 weeks of researching this almost every night to find out what needs to be replaced to have this conversion. My question was finally answered.

Also props to eg_type_r93, he talked with me and was the first to tell me what was necessary.

Thanks all again!
