It was team integra. the guy mounted an H22 in the back and made it RWD. looked very time consuming and he had to cut the entire rear out and flare the rear fenders to make it fit

since he asked for a S2K motor swap. im gona ask for a more "realistic" type of swap. i have a 2ZZ-GE (Celica GT-S, Corolla XRS) motor. its a 6-speed tranny and a 1.8. i figure if a K24 into an integra is possible then a 1.8 would be possible as well. what are your guys input on this? i have EVERYTHING from the 2ZZ-GE (axels, ECU, etc.)

So you're admitting to contributing nothing worthwhile or ( since you said dumb reply ) nothing of intelligence to this thread? Then why even bother wasting your time?

you can do it! no seriously I think the best reply here, was to read up on both... and then give it a try.

the s2k engine was free, the integra cost you, but you have another vehicle to drive so if you fail and mess it up too bad, then you can still drive....point being: you got nothing to lose. I think you should try it, then do a write-up on it, and then shut up the haters

Well for the most part ive seen the EG with the S2k swap personally. it was fully converted with the whole front of the S2k Subframe. it was at the 05 Sema show at a booth. its a pretty extensive swap if you can do all the fabrications. but converting a fwd to a rwd is no over night task. if you are looking into a daily driver i would not suggest something of this level. i would asume it would be not as reliable as if you were to drop a B16 or mod the B18. I think you would run into a lot of fab probs and maybe even safety issues. things to keep in mind is the floor board and frame is not designed to handle a rwd set up. plus i would asume you would have to figure out how not to cut into the firewall to clear the trans. it would be a unique swap and conversion but i wouldn't do it if you want something reliable and daily drivable.

If you have the $$ and the time go for it and good luck!!!

I remember seeing someone building new bell housing from a B Series Tranny that would mate to the S2000 engine. This in turn would allow an S2000 engine to drive a FWD integra. I also think the engine was tilted 30 degrees back to clear the hood.

So basically a modified B Tranny Bell housing, a few wires, and a Hasport Kit!

WOW... i'm impressed. However like you stated, this swap is no where near the level of your common garage mechanic.

It's not mine so I can't say. I read about it on http://www.k20a.org

Apparently the owner had to heavily modify the bell housing on the K-trans to get it to fit up to the F20C. I've also read that there's a company who made a custom adapter plate to mate it up, but the price was a little over-the-top.

Define worth it?

Im sure the mechanic that built that has a great feeling of success after building a car like that. So im sure to him, ya it was worth it.
