integra question.
well my friend just bought a gsr about a month ago. everything went perfect with the sale, and today i looked under the hood and i glanced up at the firewall and there was no vin number.... it looked like it was sanded or plastered down. i checked the vin number on the dash and the door sill, and they matched. is there any other vin numbers on the frame of the car that we can identify to see if this guy didnt **** my friend over?
There should be a number of VIN stickers on various body panels throughout the car. But there aren't any that are stamped into the frame or body. If the car is a 96 or newer, then there should be VIN tags on the engine and transmission.
Did he get a car fax before the sale? If he feels like the car is hot have him call his insurance agency or the DMV. Most car makers add a police VIN where most ppl can't find it. Your local PD or DMV should be able to help you with that.
a vin is supposed to be there, it looks like it was plastered with bondo and sprayed flat black. he did run the vins through car fax, and it was fine. Kendall do you know where on the body panels?
