Default Integra pulls to the left when accelerating

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what could be wrong. Whenever I press the pedal more than 50% the car pulls to the left slightly and the steering wheel moves slightly to the right. But if I just cruise and let go of the steering wheel the car drives straight. I don't think it's torque steer because it happens in midrange rpm too where there isn't a lot of power. And it's noticable around 45 and up mph. Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas on what could be wrong?

TIA,
Brad

check all your tire pressures...i had wacky tire pressures on all of my tires a few days ago and it was pulling all over the place. Does it pull funny when you brake at all?

Tire pressure is 36psi front/38 rear. There is no pulling while braking.

I suggest you double check those numbers!!!

sounds like part of your steering assembly might be loose. have a buddy push up and down on the front of your car while you look under it at the suspension. look at all the components for something that might have a funny movement to it. also try to grab each part and jiggle it. if its pulling and your wheel is going crazy it sounds like its something beginning to fail on your steering system.

mm i remmeber i topic about torque steer about 1 week back where the cars will just pull a certain direction while acelerating. alot of people replied and said to do a wheel alignment. i was one of the few with the same accuring problem. only problem with mine was i already did have my wheels aligned recently.

i think i read somewhere that bad shocks can cause this too i have to get that checked

umm could it be your tire tread, maybe you need to balance
not sure about this though

BTW under normal conditions tire prersuure should be 3psi below max

I'm pretty sure all tegs pull slightly in one direction just because of the way the engine is orientated. Your alignment could be off too.

yeah, I origionally asked the question about the torque steer. Unfortunately for me, on my college student budget, I did have my alignment checked and it was fine. Checked the tire pressure, it was fine. Checked the balance of the wheels, and it was fine. leaving me with bad shocks. My car is beginning to oscilate at anything over 80 mph. no big deal yet... hmmm.... maybe I can get those koni yellows I've had my eye on

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I just have to get under the car and check all the suspension and steering componenets.

i have that same problem, and i have bad shocks and might be out of alignment but i think that it just has to do with the car itself nothing really to do with any suspension stuff, just the way the motor sits and that maybe one tires pulls a little harder than the other, get limited slip and you wont have to worry about that ever again.

I am having the same problem in my 2000 ls. I also responded to the torque steer thread. Guys i have an important question, what is a good tire pressure guage and where do I get it? I need an accurate and precise one. Also what do you guys find is the best way to inflate your tires for fine tuning? Do you just go to the gas station and use that thing? Thanks guys, I appreciate your help. I wanna go do this today before dark

i kinda have the same problem, but i think i need an alignment cause my tires are wearing faster on the egdes but they are also almost bald, tire pressure is ok all around though, and i'm pretty sure my shocks r going bad, theres a little bit of oil leaking but it doesn't look too bad, but i will be getting new shocks, tires, and alignment after winter so we'll c how that goes

sure they're not wearing on the edge because of "turning?"

No, thats not how it works. Underinflated tires tend to wear faster on the edges rather than the middle. OVERinflated tires wear faster on the middle. Make sense?
