Integra Problem :( :(
Hi,
I have a Honda Integra SX16 1987 Automatic Transmission.
I purchased it off this private sale ages ago, ran wonderful, changed gears without a problem. I then noticed every morning it would not get out of 2nd gear for at least 10minutes, (until it got warm) then after it was warm no problem at all.
As the months went on it got worse, one minute im driving in 3rd gear then it seems to slip, and even if i rev it to 7000rpm it only moves about 3-5kmph.
Its progressivly gotten worse and worse until now I cannot drive it at all. I put it in reverse and only sometimes it clicks in and reverses. I have assumed the gearbox is shot, but I am not 100% sure. Before I right this car off and buy another one (only have about $900 to spend) is there anything you guys could suggest? anything it could be.
It runs Dextron III Tranny Fluid.
Automatic Transmission.
1987 SX 16
220,000KM on the Clock.
Motor runs Wonderful.
Thanks
Moar
