Okay, i searched but to no avail. I just purchased a 98' LS and I can't get the trunk to open by just unlocking either from the oem remote or the mechanisms at the door. I would have to put the key in the cylinder in the trunk and turn it to the unlock position and then turn the switch at the same time in order to open the trunk. How would I go about fixing this?

 

I think thats how the 98+ ones are, both turn the key and flip the little trunk release.

 

Oh really? I thought that my trunk was messed up. Also on th oem keyless entry: I have the lock and unlock buttons, what is the third button? The picture on it is all worn out...

 

The actuator or w/e broke and you need a new one, its a comon problem w/ 98-01. Kinda pricey repair. I just deal with it, because its bound to happen with the new one eventually. Not that big of a deal unless your hands are full lol.

 

lol i have a 99 ls and i have the same problem! not really a big deal to me so havent fixed it,but sometimes it is annoyin

is the lock on the trunk broken? or is it unlocking but not opening?
