Integra Burnt! HELP
hey everyone, i have a 96 ls 4 door integra and today i thought i would have a little fun and pull a burn out!
So heres what happend i wanted to do burnout that had a lil smoke, so i pulled the Ebrake revved that ****er to about 7k and poped the clutch i did this about 3 times when i smelt a strong burning smell it went away but now when i drive it takes forever for the clutch to grab , also when its in any gear it makes a very quiet clicking sound, i really hope the tranny didnt go out if thats a possiblitie any ideas thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was not surprised.
Welcome to the world. In case nobody has spelled it out for you in the past: jackassery such as burnouts and stunting has adverse effects on your vehicle. If you don't have the means to make potentially expensive or labor-intensive repairs, then you shouldn't beat the **** out of your car. Especially when you depend on it to get you to work every day.
You destroyed the clutch at a minimum. That's going to cost you at least $550-600 to have someone replace it for you, or at least $275 in parts if you DIY.
Judging by the "quiet clicking sound," you may have also destroyed axles, internal bearings, or the differential as well. And since it's an Integra, transmission internals and good used transmissions aren't exactly dirt cheap.
Have fun with that.
Next time you want to see smoke, have a barbecue. It'll be a lot cheaper.

haha ur clutch is indeed toast.. i will post a picture in the morning what your clutch probably looks like... since i had to toast mine when mine blew on rt 100 in heavy traffic to prevent an accident
Last time I did that stunt.. I blew my differential. No more burnout for me.. I was backing up, put it in first, went to about redline, dumped the clutch and did a 50' burnout. As I was driving normally, I heard a grinding sound, then a clunk, then the tranny locked up and I had to go on the flat bed to bring the car to a buddy's shop.
No more burn outs for me.
My clutch was fine though.

i really hate to ask, and i'll probably regret this...but how exactly do you "prevent" an accident by killing your clutch? i'm guessing your the hero now?
