lol . Its going to depend on what you're tuning with and more importantly who is doing the tuning . I run 10 psi on a stock motor with 167k . And there are plenty of people doing more without issue because they use reputable tuners.
If your tuning sucks, blow up on 4psi. If its tuned well enough, run 15psi indefinatley.
And parts don't fail at a certian psi, they fail at a certian hp. 300whp used to be the commonly accepted "limit" for stock b series bottom ends ... but its steadily rising as tuning/tuners get better.

so you have a few friends whos had bad experiences id say. youre telling me psi matters but you havent explained to me the physics of why. think about it like this. a larger air compressor usually works much better than a smaller one with the same conditions. this could be comparable to a turbo system which also uses psi as a unit of measurement.
and who tuned your friends car at 300hp built? thats a pretty sad number noting that stock blocks have made that for years without problems.

yea you can
ive seen 575whp on a stock b16 block at least at 25psi. sure it might not have lasted years. but it hit the dyno and the track making those numbers.

in general, yes 25psi on any turbo is practically overdoing it on a stock block.
a smaller turbo at 25psi probably wont even withstand it very long AND a larger turbo will make too much power for the block to handle.
psi is only relevant to what turbo that is being run. the reason people are flamed for this is because they ask what amount of boost levels can be run when in reality, it would be dependent on the setup they have.

good answer and see this guys Q how much boost to run for it to be safe and last him a long time not one day thing and im sure he wants it to be reliable and last right???thats the purpose of this thread so it all depends on your turbo setup and tune
