well the options that will net you any horsepower gain are the following:

ls/vtec (b18a/b short block with a b series vtec head). nets appx 150-160whp
B18c1 (integra GSR motor) nets appx 150whp
b18c5 (integra type R motor) nets appx 165whp
b18cR (jdm itr motor before '97, i think) nets appx 165ish whp
h23 (prelude si, don't do it, not worth it) nets appx 145-150whp
h22 (prelude vtec motor) nets appx 160-170whp but has an assload more torque than any B series motor, about 20ft/lb more

or if you wait a little bit or are willing to fork out the cash, the newer K series motors

k20 rsx-s motor nets about 170ish whp
k24 crv motor nets appx 165ish whp
or the k24/20 which uses the 2.4 l bottom end form the crv and the k20 head. nets about 200+whp

all the horsepower numbers i gave are pure guestimations of the motors in nearly if not absolutely stock form so don't get all but hurt you guys if im off by 5 or 6 horsepower.

here's some ideas

or go crazy like this guy did!!!

na but seriously, they have mount's for just about any honda motor out.. i heard something abotu the K series mount's still being devoloped... and that one place SAID they were goin to have them out i think it was this month actually, but it got pushed back.. but not exactly sure. theres a big market for B series, and a hand full for D series.. but i dotn like those ohc's too much, stick with either B series, or try a K series, if u wanna wait.. its never really been done, so you wouldnt find that much info on the swap. And dont forget the H series, a couple of hundred lbs more the B series, and has really good TQ, and i heard it feels crazy in like the civic hatches, and theres a guy on here, that posted up his h22 swap in his DC, looks real clean, tight fit tho, he has like 6-9 pages of talk about the car and the swap, check it out!!

oh and alot of people are goin to say, it depends on what you have planned to do to your car, other people will help you more in that field because they might have experience

good luck and a free bump

You would think the blower and the exhaust piping would get in the view of the driver. But yeah, go k-series if you have the money. If not, stick with the B.

any generation of a b16 head (civic si), b18c1 (integra gsr), b18c5 (integra type r).

just search for ls/vtec or lsvtec anything like that.

There is not a shadow from the strut bar on the valve cover=not real...

And just to stick up for the H23s, they make the same tq as the H22, but sooner in the powerband, they just dont have V-TACK. They are easier to turbo, though...

H-T member with K20 in a DC. Hasport should have the mounts for the K series swap finish.
