when i purchased my car it came with a knock off K&N intake. It hasnt been cleaned for well over a year, maybe even longer before i actually purchased the car. Anyways it seems like ive lost mileage on a full tank and i was thinking the cause of it was do to my dirty intake? anyhow i just did a quick search on AEM as I was looking into or possibly thinking about getting my intake replaced with cold air. I live in CA so for the most part its dry here so I wouldnt have to worry about puddles of water..

so here are my options..
- either clean the existing intake i have
- purchase another intake
- or purchase AEM cold air

do you guys know how much these would cost? please list.. cheaper the better links to vendors always appreciated

 

i would purchase and aem but k&n sells a recharger kit to clean your intake. The recharger is cheaper then the AEM.

 

I would go for the AEM CAI, or spend 30 bucks on a replacement K&N if your filter is fubar as mine.

Actually I have a brand new K&N that has been in my room for like 3 months.

how much for a recharger?
how much for a new K&N intake?
